The Importance of our NASPO Class One Certification
Sekuworks, LLC is a North American Security Products Organization (NASPO) Certified Class One security printer. Sekuworks holds the honor of being the first company to be awarded Class One Certification, the highest level a company can achieve.
Choosing a security products supplier starts with knowing that the company and staff are serious about security at all levels of their business. Sekuworks operates under the ANSI/NASPO SA-2008 standard functioning within a set of best practices covering eight areas of threat:
- Customers
- Information
- Material Risk
- Supply & Custody Chains
- Physical Intrusion
- Personnel
- Disaster Recovery
- Security Breaches
Purchasing any product intended to provide security, authentication, or fraud prevention from a non-secure source is vulnerable to fraud at the source and can become useless before implementation.
As an example, a simple procedure like waste disposal becomes a potential point of security failure for non-secure facilities. Product overruns or product purposely disposed of could find its way into a non-secure waste receptacle. Later, the product is "dumpster dived" resulting in products becoming available on the web or diverted. This is just one of the basic points of weakness addressed by the NASPO standard. At Sekuworks we segregate waste by type, from security to recyclable. Security waste is shredded or burned and all other waste is disposed of by appropriate means, keeping the supply chain secure at the source.
From suppliers and personnel to waste and shipping, our NASPO Class One procedures assure the products we provide are ready to do their intended job to the fullest!
More about NASPO
